NEWSLETTER SPOTLIGHTS

This month, millions of children are gearing up and getting ready for the start of the new school year and the CHBA is proud to work with schools across the state to serve as mentors to students in hopes of inspiring, guiding, and assisting them in their educational and professional development. We also salute our hard-working educators and administrators who have resiliently continued to instruct our future generations through these difficult times.

UConn Law Latinx Law Student Association Mentorship Program: Our law student members are currently accepting applications from attorneys who are interested in their mentorship program. A mentor-mentee dinner is tentatively planned for September 10, 2021, at UConn School of Law. Attorneys who are interested must complete an online questionnaire in order to be matched with a law student. The deadline to sign up to be a mentor is Monday, August 23, 2021.

CHBA Law Student Scholarship: The CHBA is now accepting applications for this year's scholarship! To be eligible for the CHBA's scholarship award, applicants must be admitted into one of the following law schools: Quinnipiac University School of Law, University of Connecticut School of Law, Western New England School of Law, Yale Law School. Awards of $2,000 are granted for the 2021-2022 academic year. Awards can be disbursed toward tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, and textbooks (from institutional collegiate bookstore).
